Rose came to the end of her journey resolved and determined to finish what she and her friends started with new friends by her side. It was this that allowed her closure on the past
Last Battle

Rose and Zieg decided to finish what they had started 11,000 years ago. Helping Zieg to his feet, Rose and Zieg headed toward the remains of the God of Destruction while the rest of the Dragoons retreated to the exit of the Moon that Never Sets. Dart yelled for Rose to come back however Rose thanked him for everything and stated that their (Rose and Zieg's) time is over. It was time for Dart and his friends to change the world for the better. Dart single handedly gave her back her humanity, compassion, and her life.
Flying into the heart of the chain reaction that would destroy the Moon That Never Sets, Zieg and Rose embraced one last time before the fires consumed them. They had no regrets and at the end they were finally reunited after countless millennia. They weren’t needed anymore and neither was the Black Monster.
Conclusion
Both the Red-Eye Dragoon Spirit and the Darkness Dragoon Spirit remained at the ruins of the Moon That Never Sets. During the ending, a white bird with indigo markings traveled to various locations to check up on Dart and the others before returning to the ruins. It landed beside another white bird with red markings, that was watching over the Dragoon Spirits. What or who the birds represent is up for interpretation though the popular opinion is that the two birds represent Rose and Zieg.
