Friends

Rose had likely spent the majority of her extended life alone and avoiding becoming attached to people. Never aging, Rose would constantly outlive any human friend and she would likely have not wanted to experience any more loss. However Dart catches her attention. He was a boy whose resemblance to her dead lover was uncanny and whom the Red-Eye Dragoon Spirit recognized. Rose could not just let him pass by.

Awakening his dragoon spirit, Rose began to travel with Dart and slowly a group formed that was a distant echo of the original Dragoons. Little by little, Rose started to reconnect with people.

Dart

""But why are you here? It is too fishy to be a coincidence.""

Dart Initially, Rose had no intention of getting involved with Dart. After her Dragoon Spirit reacted in his presence, Rose decided to follow him to learn if Dart could become a dragoon. Passing the test while fighting Kongol, Rose took it upon herself to teach Dart what it was to be a Dragoon. At the same time, she could see what he would do with that power. After Lavitz's death, Dart apologized for dragging Rose into their mess. Rose reminds Dart she had been following him, not the other way around. After watching his actions, she was looking forward to his actions in the future.

Rose also had to come to terms with Dart's hatred of the Black Monster for obvious reasons. When he asked her about in on the Queen Fury, it seemed Rose has forgotten that was what Dart was originally traveling for. Rose was not prepared to reveal this information yet. However she did want to find out what Dart intended to do. Dart did not know what he wanted to do, having learned that revenge was not the answer. Instead Dart planed on figuring it out when he faced the Black Monster. For the first part of the game Rose had difficulty coming to terms with her feelings for Dart. She chastised herself and claimed she didn’t need Dart.

Dart had all the same traits as her old lover Zieg. He looked the same, acted the same, and was recognized by the same Dragoon Spirit. Rose questioned if Dart might be a reincarnation of Zieg or perhaps even Zieg himself. However Rose quickly came to terms with her emotions. She didn’t love Dart, she loved what he reminded her of. Dart was not Zieg and would never be Zieg. Her relation with Dart remained platonic.

Rose thanked Dart for giving her back her humanity. They had a close friendship.

Lavitz

"How do you know about such things? You know too much about things nobody could know."

Lavitz Lavitz was initially wary of Rose. Lavtiz was himself privy to knowledge many did not know however Rose knew more than the wisest man in Bale. He quickly accepted Rose's support though, as she did not seem interested in harming Basil or working with Sandora. Rose revealed much to him, including the name of his Dragoon Spirit, and told him the same thing she had told Dart. Lavitz was required to accept his destiny now that the Jade Dragoon Spirit had accepted him. Lavitz exclaimed he will use it for justice like Rose, revealing his respect for her.

Lavitz and Rose often made commentary about Dart and Shana's relationship. Both felt the two were in love and acting like brother and sister instead of boyfriend and girlfriend. Lavitz went as far as to pretend to go out with her in order to get the lovebirds alone together. During this time it's also obvious Lavitz was not interested in Rose romantically and only saw her as a friend.

Rose and Lavitz spent a fair amount of time together and developed a small friendship. Rose respected his ability but felt that his loyalty may blind him. Rose and Lavitz would have been good friends if circumstances had differed.

Shana

"I am sorry. I think I was wrong about you, Rose."

Shana Rose and Shana spent a lot of time together, being the only girls in the group for quite awhile. Shana warmed up to Rose quickly enough to turn to her when Lavitz is killed. Shana's innocence and sweetness was obvious from the start. However it was also obvious that Shana was not physically strong. Because of this, Shana envied Rose's strength and ability. Rose knew who she was and what she could do while Shana was still following Dart's footsteps, unsure of the world around her. Shana wanted to be friends with Rose, maybe to learn how to be strong from her. Rose believed that Shana's sweetness was a weakness that might get her killed one day. Rose also envied Shana's innocence. Rose knew too much to ever see the world though rose-coloured glasses again. Shana reminded her of younger days and this likely brought back memories she'd rather not remember.

Rose noticed Shana's strange powers during their encounter with Virage in Volcano Village. However she didn’t concern herself with it until their second encounter with one in the Valley of Corrupted Gravity. It was then obvious to Rose there was something wrong with Shana. She also believed Shana had the right to find out what it was. She supported Shana staying with them. While Rose found Shana weak at first, Shana gave Dart strength and Rose also respected her willpower.

The two became close enough for Rose to tease Shana though Shana still worried that Rose might be interested in Dart. Even when Rose said she's thinking about him and then claimed its a joke, Shana was concerned. Shana also got jealous on the Queen Fury when Dart was looking for Rose. When Rose went to talk to her, Shana became defensive. Rose told her to never let go of Dart. It's likely Rose saw her relationship with Zieg in Shana and Dart. Shana was the girl Rose used to be. Rose also encouraged Dart to meet with Shana during the party in Tiberoa. Rose wanted Shana and Dart to have the relationship she couldn't have with Zieg.

Shana was also able to tell Rose's true intentions behind her words. Shana knew Rose was worried about her after she rejected the Dragoon Spirit. Shana found Rose to be a friend no matter how she may act.

At the same time, Rose had no hesitation to kill Shana when she was revealed to be the Moon Child. Rose believed her mission to prevent the awakening of the God of Destruction was above all else, even her friendships. Rose did not have any dislike of Shana and likely did not find the idea of killing her pleasant.

Haschel

"The tootsie over there is your friend too?"

Haschel Rose's first encounter with Haschel wasn't exactly heartwarming. From his conversation with the group, Haschel was a lively old man who knew when to fool around and when to be serious. The two didn't speak directly often though Rose made it quite clear she did not like being called 'tootsie'. Haschel also found her to be a harsh woman. The two were the first to engage Jiango, possibly implying the two were confident of the other's fighting ability.

Haschel trusted Rose's ability enough to leave the party in her hands when they decide to follow Lloyd in Tiberoa. However it was soon revealed that he is also a Dragoon and Rose told him he could leave his fate behind if he wishes. This contrasts with her instructions to both Dart and Lavtiz. Rose seemed to have wanted to let the old man off as the fate of Dragoons could be a painful one. He accepted, likely to Rose’s approval.

Rose and Haschel also seemed to stick around one another, likely because of their maturity and wisdom compared to the rest. Both Rose and Haschel note the curiosity of the king and the budding relationship between Dart and Shana. They also started teasing Albert right away, both perfectly comfortable around him. They were also friendly enough for Haschel to tease Rose about being jealous of Dart's relationship with Shana. Haschel had no reservations about telling Rose exactly what he thought. Rose also seemed to have no problems revealing small things about herself.

Rose and Haschel shared conversation on the Queen Fury. Haschel was able to tell Rose had feelings about Dart. He was curious why Rose was traveling with them and again she revealed a little about herself by telling him it was a break. Haschel also noted that Rose looks like she had been running herself to death with her life being controlled by something. While Rose seemsed to enjoy Haschel's insight, his ability to infer things about her unsettled her. Rose was not one who liked people poking around in her business.

Roes and Haschel had a close friendship. Both were willing to help the other deal with their problems.

Albert

"Indeed, I am helplessly alone."

Albert Albert and Rose met under less than happy circumstances. Rose reminded the group that Basil was in danger. Rose likely knew that the Serdio royalty possessed the Moon Gem and had a better idea of what Lloyd's actions might mean. Rose was harsh in her summary of events. Now that the Moon Gem was in Lloyd's possession, Doel would be the heir in name and reality. She also noted that Albert was no king without a castle and an army. Albert agreed with her assessment and decideds that they would go directly after Doel. Rose was also the first person to support Albert's plan. He likely appreciated the support of someone whose power he respected. She also likely respected a king willing to go into enemy territory without an army to end a war. Albert was certainly a king who protected his people.

After the battle with Doel, Albert decided to journey with the group as a mere man instead of a king. Rose had no problems treating him like any other person and often noted how once he starts talking, it's hard to shut him up. Albert also noticed how mysterious she is. He wished to assist her with the weight of her fate.

Meru

"Are you one of the Gehrich Gang? Do you want me to smash you too!? "

Meru Rose is hardly impressed by Meru's introduction and found her to be an annoyance and is opposed to her joining the group but ended up having little choice in the matter. Rose likely knew immediately that Meru was a Wingly but did not appear to care one way or another. To her, Meru was just a kid that was in the way. Rose showed no interest in the girl following them and didn’t interact with her directly. She seemed irritated that Meru thought their journey was going to be fun.

Rose was also surprised that Meru was accepted by a Dragoon Spirit. However at the same time, Rose was aware that Dragoons attract one another so it wasn’t that strange. Rose was also the one to catch Meru's slip up at the Crystal Palace during the conversation about the Divine Dragon. She also agreed with Meru that the world couldn’t be destroyed because everyone was the same. She claimed that it was the first time she had ever agreed with Meru. Meru questioned if it truly was the first time they had ever agreed on something. Perhaps Rose and Meru had more in common that Rose cared to admit.

Kongol

"Gigantos, with strongest armor...lost. Me, brother of hero...has pride. Cannot live in disgrace....Kill me. "

Kongol Rose was the one who countered Kongol's attack and left him open to Dart's newly awakened Dragoon magic. Kongol retreated only to reappear in the Black Castle. After his second defeat, Kongol wished to be killed instead of living with the disgrace of two defeats by the same people. Rose was the only one willing to grant his wish. Rose was able to understand the pride of a warrior and desire to die a warrior's death.

When Kongol saved the group at the Home of the Gigantos, Rose questioned his motives. Kongol's words revealed an idealist man who wishes to create a world where species were equal. He also believed that the world needed a strong leader. Now that Doel was dead, Kongol believed that leader would be Dart. Rose countered the idea of equality and stated the world only has killing and being killed. Again Rose showed how she lost her idealism after the Dragon Campaign. Kongol didn't seem to like Rose's thoughts on the world but did not comment on them.\

Miranda

"Are you saying that you are the heroes from the Dragon Campaign? The Dragoons!? "

Miranda Miranda and Rose started off disliking one another. Miranda came to quick conclusions about things she didn't understand completely and was very judgmental. Rose also did not understand why the White-Silver Dragoon Spirit chose Miranda when Shana was still alive and well. It's likely Rose did not like the idea of replacing Shana. Rose was aware of Shana's strength as a Dragoon and in contrast, she did not know what Miranda's strength was. In that sense, Rose did not trust Miranda right away and had no qualms saying so. In turn, Miranda did not like Rose in the least and found her a clumsy woman. Miranda's dislike of Rose could also stem from her hatred of the rose flower.

Miranda also argued with Rose after their encounter with Diaz in Vellweb. Rose wished for the others to stay behind as this was her problem. Miranda argued that it was not just Rose's problem; Rose counters that this wouldn’t be as easy as chasing a single Wingly. Miranda found this conceited.

Rose is not interested in fighting with the Sacred Sister however. Rose is the one to approach Miranda and request a conversation to explain their differences. The two aren't so different, protecting themselves with harsh words and hiding emotions to avoid painful situations. Miranda and Rose likely grew to respect one another's abilities.
